Review: Easy - Tammara Webber

EasyEasy by Tammara Webber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Losing someone you've been with for a very long time is heartbreaking . . . especially if he has given you a stupid reason for letting you go . . . especially if you've given up a lot for him . . .

Lucas is a lot of things. He's a barista at Starbucks, a self-defense guru, a fixit guy, a parking enforcement officer, an economics tutor, a great artist, but he's also a mysterious guy with a dark past.

Jaqueline just wants to move on with her life after her boyfriend broke up with her after following him to college. Unsure if she is really where she's meant to be, one night, she meets Lucas when he saves her.

This story is about moving on from the past. Whether that past is an ex-boyfriend, or whether that past is a horrible nightmare you just can't get rid of.

Her ex is all she has ever known, but being with Lucas proves that everything she had lost was all worth it . . .But earning trust and battling personal demons is something they would have to go through first.

After all the hardships that Lucas and Jaqueline had passed through, they both proved that they are where they're meant to be, and that choosing to be with each other is easy, incredibly easy.

I love how this book was written -- with a little action, drama, romance, and sweetness that'll make you gush. My favorite part would be the ending, because, of course, I love happy endings. :)

I liked Jaqueline's character, how she's just not like any other damsel-in-distress. She's a very strong person who doesn't care what anybody else thinks, and I'm so happy for her to have found Lucas because they are so perfect with each other :)

Favorite quotes:

"You sure? Because it's either that... or you find my seduction techniques... humorous."

“Choosing to be with you, isn't a difficult decision, Jacqueline...It's easy. Incredibly easy.”

If someone had asked, "How does this compare to kissing Kennedy?" I would have answered, "Who?”

“The truth was, he now belonged only to my past, and it was time I begin to accept it, as much as it hurt to do so.”

“What I can't do anywhere is be with you.”

Review: Beautiful Disaster - Jamie McGuire

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1)Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“It's dangerous to need someone that much. You're trying to save him and he's hoping you can. You two are a disaster." I smiled at the ceiling. "It doesn't matter what or why it is. When it's good, Kara... it's beautiful.”

I've suggested this book to some of my friends because I've read it before and I knew it was good. Then I saw them falling in love with the book so I re-read it and I remembered why I loved this book.

I've always had a thing for good-girl-meets-bad-boy stories, or just plain bad boys, period. Travis Maddox is just.. mmmmmmm.

"Mad at you?" he said. "I am so turned on I can't see straight..."

There are some things I didn't like about this book, all their breakups seem to break my heart too, but reading through the end was worth it!

"You know why I want you? I didn't know I was lost until you found me. I didn't know what alone was until the first night I spent without you in my bed. You're the one thing I've got right. You're what I've been waiting for, Pigeon."

The best part of reading love stories with bad boys is the part where they change for the person they love.. because of love. That their world turns upside down because of someone they care about. It's just so sweet. :)

The Edge of Never graphic

Review: The Edge of Never - J. A. Redmerski

The Edge of NeverThe Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of those stories I hate to finish reading. It was just so goooood.
I love Andrew’s cockiness and I’m so happy for Camryn to have someone like Andrew to help her find confidence in herself. :)
This story makes me hopeful that maybe, one day, I’ll find that someone who’s meant for me too. That one who will make me not afraid of telling what I feel and that one who, the thought of him leaving, will tear me apart. Who knows, maybe I’ll find him sitting behind me on a bus. ;) I hope I’ll have my own Andrew Parrish too.
The only song I know of The Civil Wars was the one with Taylor Swift but after reading this book, I got interested in them. Not the classical rock though. I’ll listen to those when I’m on a road trip to nowhere with my own Andrew Parrish ;)
This book made me laugh and cry and gush :) Andrew’s letters to Camryn definitely broke my heart. And the beginning of that last chapter? (view spoiler)[One minute he was dying, then Cam was seeing a grave with PARRISH written on it, then Andrew was hugging her from behind. I was beginning to think that.. But I kind of knew it wasn’t gonna happen since they were too meant for each other and separating them would be too cruel. (hide spoiler)] But I’ll have to say that was the best chapter, especially the ending. :)

Favorite Quotes:
“Never hold back, Camryn Bennett; be sure to do what you want in life, say what you feel and never be afraid to be yourself.”
“ ‘I’m being hustled,’ Andrew says behind me, ‘and teased.’ “
“I think when you fall in love, like true love, it’s love for life. All the rest is just experience and delusions.”
“..but with Camryn, it’s different. It’s hard (pun intended),”
“She got pissed when I accused her of having Bieber Fever (it pisses me off that I even know what the fuck that means—I blame that on society)”
“ ‘Live in the moment,’ he says as if making a serious point, ‘where everything is just right, take your time and limit your bad memories and you’ll get wherever it is you’re going a lot faster and with less bumps in the road along the way.’ “

Review: Wallbanger - Alice Clayton

WallbangerWallbanger by Alice Clayton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I hated finishing this book. It was so good I wished the book wouldn't end. :(
It has everything I love in a story. Lots of laughs and love :D

"Do you want some afghan?" I offered, and he laughed.
"No, I can take it like a man. You stay under there, though," he teased.
I narrowed my eyes at him through the eye holes and poked one finger through the weave. "Guess which finger this is," I said, waving it at him.

I loooove Caroline's playfulness. And I also like that they're like kids when they're together. They were so fun to read! And don't get me started on Simon. Gaaah. I need to stop falling for fictional characters but with Simon Wallbanger, you just can't help it! =))

"How cute is that? It's like he's poking his head out from behind a curtain!" I clapped my hands.
"You may not be aware, but as a general rule, no man likes the word cute in the same sentence as his junk."
"But he is cute--uh-oh, where'd he go?"
"He's shy now. Still not cute, but shy."
"Shy, my ass. He wasn't so shy in the shower a little bit ago."
"He needs his ego stroked."
"Wow."

I love how this book was written with so many scenes that'll make you laugh your pants off. Seriously. Just from the title you can see that it's interesting and that it'll be a great book. :) I hope I'll find more books like this <3 And I will definitely re-read it again and again :D
